Perry Johnson Releases Statement Endorsing MIGOP Resolution on Presidential Primary

Troy, MI – Perry Johnson, Republican presidential candidate and third place finisher in CPAC’s straw poll, released the following statement regarding the MIGOP Presidential Primary resolution being voted on at the June 10th State Committee meeting.

“I applaud Michigan Republicans for taking back the Republican primary process and not allowing Gretchen Whitmer and the Democrats to dictate how we select our Party’s nominee. This plan is fair and I believe the RNC should award Michigan their full allocation of delegates to the National Convention.”

“Michigan going early in the process is fantastic news for our campaign and I’m confident we will perform very well in both the primary and caucuses next year. My campaign team has the experience and operation we need to win delegates.”

Perry Johnson’s campaign team has decades of experience in Michigan conventions. The Johnson campaign team includes Michigan veterans in senior roles. Campaign Manager, Paul Cordes, served as the Michigan GOP Executive Director during the 2022 election cycle. Chief Strategist, John Yob, is a presidential campaign veteran and Michigan’s most successful convention tactician, once referred to as a “delegate math master operative” (MSNBC).

The Johnson campaign will be releasing additional hires and events as part of its comprehensive Michigan operation in the coming weeks.
