Troy, MI – Perry Johnson, Republican presidential candidate and second place finisher in TPUSA’s Action Summit straw poll, has announced a ‘Restore the American Dream’ rally on August 12. The event will feature GOP speakers, a keynote address from Perry Johnson and a live concert starring country music artists Big & Rich.

The event is free for all campaign donors, who have been generous in their efforts to help Perry Johnson reach the RNC threshold for the first debate.

Johnson said, “This week, my campaign reached 15,000 donors, and this concert is a way to show appreciation for everyone who has supported my Two-Cents Plan. The 40k donor requirement is clearly an effort to keep non-establishment candidates off the stage, but we are taking the necessary steps to reach it and plan to participate in the August debate stage where I hope to share my message with even more Americans.”

Since announcing his candidacy for president at CPAC in March, Perry Johnson has regularly campaigned across Iowa and New Hampshire. Both states play pivotal roles in the presidential primary process, and Johnson, a political outsider, has garnered support from Republican groups in both places.

The Big & Rich concert will take place on August 12 in Des Moines, IA from 5:30 – 9pm at the Lauridsen Amphitheater.

Additional details and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
