ICYMI: Perry Johnson to Give Speech, Attend Iowa Senator Joni Ernst’s Annual Roast and Ride Event as Special Guest
Des Moines, IA – Perry Johnson, Republican presidential candidate and third place finisher in CPAC’s straw poll, has been invited to attend Iowa Senator Joni Ernst’s annual Roast and Ride fundraiser as a special guest. Johnson will attend the June 3rd event, which will take place in Des Moines and benefit the Cedar Rapids-based Freedom Foundation.
“I have visited over thirty counties in Iowa so far because I know how important Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucus is and how seriously Republicans in Iowa take their role in this process.
“Senator Joni Ernst was elected as an outsider to the U.S. Senate and an outsider is exactly what we need in the White House now.
“I am the outsider of outsiders, and my Two-Cents Plan is the only plan that has been put forward by a GOP candidate for President to solve the debt crisis, which I’m looking forward to sharing at Senator Ernst’s Roast and Ride.
“There is truly no better cause to support than an organization benefiting military veterans and I am looking forward to supporting Iowa’s Freedom Foundation Saturday as I continue my campaign for president across the state.”
Johnson will give a 10-minute speech to the crowd at the event to share more about his Two-Cents Plan.
He will also have a booth set up where Iowans will be able to receive free copies of his book, Two-Cents to Save America, and learn more about his campaign for president.
Johnson recently returned from his ‘Fire Biden’ bus tour, visiting more than eighteen counties across Iowa to share his Two-Cents Plan to Save America with Iowa caucus-goers.
Johnson has largely campaigned on an economic platform which has resonated with Iowans on the campaign trail. His Two-Cents Plan would slash federal discretionary spending by two percent annually, rescuing the American economy from Joe Biden’s debt and inflation crisis.
Johnson will remain on the campaign trail in Iowa through June 6, following the Roast and Ride event, on a 3-day bus tour. He will visit Franklin, Union, Cass, Guthrie, Audubon, Pottawattamie, Crawford, and Shelby counties. Event details for the bus tour will be released shortly. Johnson will also be available for interviews upon request.
