Troy, MI – Perry Johnson, Republican candidate for president and second place finisher in Turning Point USA’s Action Summit straw poll, has earned 1 percent of support in a Monmouth University poll released on Tuesday, another indicator that Johnson is on a path to making the first August RNC debate stage.
Johnson beat out other establishment candidates in the field and is within clear shot of former Vice President Mike Pence.
This latest poll proves his political outsider status and Two-Cents Plan continue to resonate with and be taken seriously by voters when pollsters choose to include him in their surveys.

The Monmouth poll was an open-ended survey allowing poll participants to list their preferred candidates rather than choosing from a predetermined list. This method and result indicate two things: 1. Pollster bias is impacting presidential polling. 2. Perry Johnson is in a stronger position than national media outlets and pollsters are giving him credit for.
Polling firms are doing a disservice to the American people by arbitrarily excluding Perry Johnson’s name on presidential candidate surveys.
